The documentary will be broadcast on Ushuaïa TV from 1 February 2025
Narrated by Pierre Richard, this film chronicles the cross-cultural dialogue initiative led by Tchendukua in France in September and October 2023. The aim, in a fragmented world, is to reconcile ancestral knowledge with modern science, and analytical approaches with sensory perceptions of the land. Scientists and Kogi representatives came together and exchanged perspectives along the Rhône, at sites of outstanding natural beauty. For the Kogi, the land functions in exactly the same way as the human body. It is no longer a mere object, a means for development, but appears as a subject with which we must rediscover the paths to peace… Forests, rivers, lakes and glaciers were the fragile organs of an immense living body: the Earth. In an era of profound imbalances, this documentary questions our ability to incorporate Indigenous perspectives in order to reinvent our connection with nature. Driven by a universal message of hope, it calls for the preservation of the Earth’s balance by blending modernity with tradition.
