‘Back to the Life’ Reconnecting with life to change our perspective and reinvent our organisations
First session: Tuesday 17 June | 12.30 pm – 2.00 pm
For 3.5 billion years, life has never ceased to innovate, cooperate and evolve. What if it were our greatest ally in tackling crises and devising organisations that are more humane, resilient and rooted in the living world?
Indigenous societies, including the Kogi people (Colombia), have managed to preserve an essential connection with nature. Their system of governance, as well as their way of life and organisation, is based not on rules devised by humans, but on the principles that underpin life itself.
What if a dialogue between our knowledge and theirs enabled us to question our preconceptions and, together, imagine a resilient future—one that is connected to life itself? What if it gave us the keys to broaden our perspectives, to imagine living organisations, living territories and a living way of thinking – that is to say, one that is creative, cooperative and sustainable? What if dialogue with these societies, which have remained on the margins of our modernities, held the keys to our future?
Building on the work carried out in 2023 along the River Roi, the Rhône – which opened up a dialogue between modern science and traditional Kogi knowledge – these online sessions will enable us to exchange perspectives, explore new practices and even new frameworks for understanding that can help us better grasp the major challenges of our time. Researchers, scientists, entrepreneurs and community leaders from regions undergoing transition will share their insights, discuss their experiences and answer your questions. Join us.
