Report on the 2021 Geneva meetings, held in preparation for the joint territorial health assessment project for the Rhône catchment area between representatives of Indigenous peoples and scientists.

The initiative was launched by the Tchendukua – Ici et Ailleurs association in 2009, following a proposal from the traditional and political authorities of the Kogi people, a community with a heritage spanning nearly 4,000 years of uninterrupted history. A proposal worded as follows: “What if we were to talk to one another, to engage in dialogue in order to try to heal the earth together? With who you are and what you know, with who we are and what we know, together we could resolve many difficulties. We have a word for this: Zigoneshi – I give to you, you give to me – let us enter into this exchange.”
